Bought this 1972 Bedford MK a couple of weeks ago. These 4x4 trucks were produced for the Army, they came with a 330cu diesel engine and 4 speed box with high and low ratio. These were capable of going most places although perhaps not very fast. Mine was decommissioned around the mid 80's when it had the 330 changed for a 500 and the four speed box changed to five. The conversions were done for purchase by the airfield who used them for snow clearence etc the 500cu being needed to give the extra power. I hope to get it sorted out and use it to haul some of my small tractors to local shows. Might even try running it on cooking oil to reduce running costs diesel very expensive over here. Bill
