It's not just on Craigs list; it happens here too...usually in reverse: people telling you how rare their $5500 Super C, or $4800 JD A, or $6700 Farmall M...you get the idea anyway. Most folks here know what's rare, and what's not, a guy can ask anything he likes, just don't insult me by telling me your '48 plain old H is so rare...and I don't care how much you spent on it either, or how your '50 A is "Expo Quality"! Soooo what? It's still a '50 A and the H is still a '48 H, and they are great tractors but they are only worth so much no matter what you have done, and they are two of the most common tractors ever produced!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
