anybody got one of the oldtimer 858 knives? this is a larger 3 blade pocket knife a little over 4 inches closed, last year i found my grandpa's in his barn [ he died in 1990] it was just sitting on a beam in his tool room, guess the cousins as well as my uncle had overlooked it, i was told i could have it by them, the problem is, the main blade as well as the sheeps foot blade are broken about halfway down their length, ive looked online and apparently schrade closed in 2004, so i cant get it fixed, [i want to fix it and carry it as it was my grandpas] as well as modern knives just dont have the quality this one does, ive got a couple of old ones of dads, and a pile on a shelf of modern cheap knives out of 440 stainless which hold an edge for about 5 minutes , anybody got any ideas? im afraid to work the edges of the broken blades and use as is , as im afraid ill mess up the temper of the blade, i did find somebody somewhere is knocking off cheap copies of this knife, [ 19.95] now you know thats a for sure good one lol a real one should be at least a 100 dollar knife
