I just finished 2 sweet corn patches, about 2500 seed worth, one place the deer are not so dense, always being chased during hunting season on adjacent lands, no nuisance problems, but here at home they will ruin a garden. Seeing nothing is up yet, just sowed, and I have to get a roll of fence, I immediately took action to ward em off. I had some dial soft or liquid soap in a gallon size container, from like '02. It seems that either the perfume in it gets stronger, separates or some darned thing, wash your hands with it in our softened water, you can't get that perfume odor to go away, so I mixed up a batch, poured a couple of heaping table spoons into a watering can, with a shower type head, sprinkled that around the garden, 3 laps around, not one track in the dirt, 'cept mine when planting. Fence will have to go in though.
I saw the dried blood mentioned, will add bone meal will give off the dead body odor too, but depending on whats in your area, it can draw critters that like that sort of thing, but may not be good for the garden plants.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
