I am glad to hear that Texas, et al are being spared this year. It seems, though, that the weather has moved northward. Here in southern Missouri, it has been dry. From the beginning of April until last week, we had 3/4 of an inch in one rainfall on our farm. Last week we had over two inches spread out throughout the week. But it is still pretty dry in the soil, just moist, not wet, if you know what I mean. The only positive is that the temperatures have been mild, with only a week or so in the nineties, and mostly in the eighties otherwise. No one around this country is really interested in selling hay right now, taking a wait and see attitude. The first cutting for most of the people I have talked to was kind of thin.
Sorry about rambling. It has been kind of a long, tough week.
