36coup Your not I repeat Not a commercial potato grower , just a vegie road side stand farmer. Best Burbank Russet potato's make the best chips. Just ask Lays Potato chips. You will NEVER BE ABLE TO COMPETE with commercial growers with your MICKEY MOUSE EQUIPMENT so spare me the jerk kneed response with the thought of making me and the readers believe that you can produce any quantity that would satisfy any large mfg of potato products.I never mention what equipment to use, just to get information from the (his) local potato growers farm for some helpful information (ie fertilizer, what went wrong with plants, when and how to plant etc) I never said he had to compete with anyone, as I stated YOU CAN'T COMPETE WITH THEM. They have a host of information that works in their given area for their conditions period.Several thousand acres of potato's far removes the road side potato stand . I stand by my post saying only big potato producers can out produce (with profit) any little patch spud producer who can only produce a very small amount of potato's to satisfy the manufacture needs for their potato products. You just can't sell your B.S.here with folks who are aware of the vast amount of money and farm ground, machinery, fertilizer, trucks, hired help etc. it takes to satisfy the country's needs for potato products.Best get your facts straight.
