I have a 2005 3500HD diesel 4x4. When the bearing went bad, I checked at the dealer. Quote was just over $800 for hub with bearings, installed. I went to RockAuto and got a Timken brand for $156.79 plus shipping. I went with Timken because I know the name brand well and trust them. Could not replace just the bearings as the assembly contains Anti-lock brake parts and "precision" tolerances at assembling. It only took me about 1 hour to replace. Neighbor has 3 Fords and every 50-60,000 miles, he is replacing both front hubs. He was always taking it to the Ford dealer. Now I have a job when his fail the next time.
