Some folks choose not to use chemicals in their garden but a good dose of atrazine (residual broadleaf herbicide) and acetachlor (residual grass herbicide) on your sweet corn directly after planting will make your life easier.
Now that your corn has emerged you can use a chemical called Callisto mixed with some atrazine and crop oil. It is labeled for sweet corn up to about 30". Laudis is another good chemical for field corn but I'm not sure it is labeled for sweet corn. Both of these chemicals should take care of your "common purslane".
You can spot spray with 2-4D but if you have broadleaf vegetable nearby it will kill them too. It has a tendency to "move" especially in hot weather. It also causes greensnap in corn.
If you want something that is not residual and doesnt move you can use a chemical called Liberty (Ignite). It only kills what it touches.
