I just had the screw put in for my first implant. This is a single tooth and will get a crown in 6 months. Procedure is pretty easy and I didn't have any swelling or significant pain at all. That is if you don't count the pain of writing a $2,500 check for the implant, plus another $750 for the crown in 6 months. So far, so good! By the way, I thkink the torque on the implant is in Newton-centimeters(not meters). Kind of interesting having a screw torqued into your head while you're alert.
