I have a huge problem with Japanese Beetles. I have several trees that they target along with my roses and other bushes.
I have been spraying them with Spectracide and Ortho--both listed to kill this pest. These were new and sealed when bought.
Strange that I have not found a single dead beetle under any tree or bush after many sprayings!
I went to the Co-op yesterday and bought a liquid Sevin concentrate and sprayed all my plants.
BINGO----dead beetles all over the ground!
I did a google search for Japanese Beetles and was surprised to see that the active ingredients with both Spectracide and Ortho are not even listed as effective!! However Sevin's ingredient is.
Just wanted to share this bit of information but my problem may be different.
