Dad bought a 2002 2500HD Chev that had been a salvage vehicle, was rebuilt by a body shop owner who used it as his personal and plow truck a couple years before he sold it. 6.0 auto 4x4 what a truck! Mileage with no towing is not great; 12.5-14mpg (but about the same as my Ranger so who can complain! LOL) IT tows like crazy, is very comfy to drive, and at aboout 100,000 has had no major issues (knock on wood), it always, and i mean always has one or the other front marker light out; no matter how many sockets or bulbs you replace, and the factory discs (esp the rears) tend to warp quickly when towing as they were pretty light, once replaced with after market vented and slotted rotors that are about half again as thick with alot more surface area and accompanying calipers they are bulletproof! Rockers are gonna have to be redone soon; rust issues starting. But the answer is yes I"d get one if I were in the market...darn good truck. I have a buddy with the prettiest 2004 2500HD Dodge Hemi that looks a lil sexier but he has completely replaced the front end componets twice now to the tune of about $1100 once and $1700 the other time!
