You guys are going to tell me I am crazy but the moon sign makes a difference if a post comes out or not. I am not joking. My Grand Father always told me that and I laughed it off.
When I finally bought this farm one of the first things I did was build a new line fence all the way around the farm. There is one section that you can't get on with a tractor. So I had to dig about 75 post by hand. I would go out each evening after work and set a few. It took me about two months to get them all set. Over the next few years at intervals down this section of fence some of the post came out and others did not. Looked like a roller coaster. My Grand Mother told me the phase changed during the time I was building the fence. I checked and it had. The post set in the dark of the moon stayed in the ground. The ones set in the light of the moon came out.
I lived with it for a few years. Then buddy of mine got a big track hoe. He came over during the dark of the moon and we pushed all the post back into the ground. Those post have not moved in the last twenty years. So you tell me if there is anything to it or not?????
You are supposed to set them as they grew. Root end down. Plus set them in the dark of the moon. They are supposed to not rot as bad and stay in the ground.
