Very common problem on the N series tractors. Most likely the cylinder piston rings are by passing a bit of oil. Not to hard a fix and the cost in you where in any other state would be around $30 but up there maybe higher. Pull the right side inspection cover the one with the hyd dip stick and fire it up with the PTO turning and a heavy piece of equipment on the 3 point. Watch for where you see fluid moving or dripping. If it is the lift cylinder you will see a drip coming down from up high. The fix is to replace the piston and rings with the new improved NAA type an that will fix it
