First of all to beat a dead horse at our household we have 4 cars, 2 Fords, a Dodge and a Honda. Only one was "Made in the USA", wanna guess which one? Hint it starts with H and ends with A, oh yeah and the Dodge was made by a German firm called "DaimlerChrysler". Car dealers? before them we had horse traders, Find a copy of a book "Horse Trading" or "More Horse trading" written by a character named Ben K Greene, seems when he was a young man he lit out on his own trading horses and cattle, in his books you'll find two levels of tales, one when we was young and trading for maximum profit and more when he was older and traded on long term relationships and filled contracts for folks on a handshake and his reputation. I suspect some of the later tales occurred after he became a DVM and had higher ethics to uphold. The fact I live in the sticks helps, small town dealers are more wary of bad word of mouth. The fact that in a previous job I was the fleet car buyer helped. The the 4 to 10 units I was buying every year was helping them meet their numbers, my predecessor bought off the state contract so a dealer in Milwaukee or Madison got the sales, that wasn't helping out local dealers.
