I have a chunk of bone "floating" in my elbow from a snowboarding accident a few years ago. They didnt want to operate on it then, still don't now. They said if I ever had trouble a cortisone shot would help or then they would do surgery. Hearing your story makes me nervous. Anytime I bump that elbow it is the worst pain I have ever had. My sister is a physical therapsit and she says nothing replaces corrective surgery for joints with bone fragments "floating" in them.
