Hi,
I gave up on plastic mulch and bed planting long ago, as there is no simple way to add nutrients to the soil during the growing season outside of water based fertilizers run though drip. We have found with our organic farming that row planting, intense cultivation and drip tape covered with the first cultivation works best. It is a must for us to all weeds and grasses out before they reseed with our system. I will look into all the tractors that have been suggested, just need well over 30 inch clearance.
