Don.........while the 8N came from the factory, 6-volt positive (+) ground, many 8N"s have been converted to 12-volt NEGATIVE (-) ground for use with the Delco 10-SI alternator and built-in voltage regulator. Many times the converter guy removes the un-necessary squarecan voltage regulator under the oilpressure gauge. ........Dell, a 12V advocate for the right reasons, who knows 8-ways to convert to 12V and they all work the first time

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
