I have a younger cousin that has been working up there for several years. HE is a masterful pipe welder. He is certified even for high pressure power plant pipe welding. He just turned forty last month. He had to pay taxes on $200k last year. He works all the time he can get. HE works 20 on and 10 off but he works for a different company during the 10 off. So he just takes one day at the beginning and end of his time off. So he works 8 days then. That makes him work 28 days out of 30. HE does not drink, gamble, or do drugs. HE has traveled the world and done this. He will work like this for a few years then take six months off and go somewhere else. HE has a seven figure saving/investment portfolio. He is married too she goes with him as a labor helper. They can't have kids so they both are just working hard and enjoying them selves. They could retire at anytime but they like the action of being involved in these type of things.
