Or to put it more plainly nothing more than the authors opinion based on what he and others have noted. like all things human simply an opinion.they have their value,much like a old farmer who has worked the same land for years in a certain area would be more likely to know what to expect than a city boy doing it for the first time. in that way much like this forum. Ive used it,still do to a certain extent. my grandad swore by it,and he successfully lived off his farm for lots of years with no other income. if it helped him or hurt him is a matter of debate ,but taken simply as a guide and not as fact I think most have some value.
