Here is link to a product I have been using for the last several years. I have had great luck with it. Restore and Restore Plus. They work just a little differently. So read the chart and decide which is the one you need. I think you have rust and scale than Restore Plus is the one you need. I don't think you have a silicone gel issue, which is what Restore is better for.
After you get the block flushed buy a good heavy duty anti-freeze. NOT the high silicone stuff for newer cars. You need the heavy duty product for diesels engines. Most better parts stores carry it. Your national chains may not carry it or even know what you are asking about.
