Forcast for tomorrow is 109. Weather man said to break our drought we would need over 11 inches of rain to fall on every square inch of ground. Ain't going to happen. He also said he doesn't see us getting any significant rain through fall.
Got me thinking about how much my routine has changed. I have the luxury of lots of shed space so very little sits out. I have noticed lately that I leave things out without worry. I usually work outside until noon and then come in and can something or work in front of a fan. Lots of nights it's watermelon for dinner. Used to always shut the gate at night cause the dog would run off if there was a storm. Haven't done that in months as it hasn't stormed. Realized the other day my broilers that are due to butcher in three weeks have never seen rain and probably won't.
