Wife and I try to buy our first house loan is a no-go because she had "bad credit" HOWEVER if I applied by myself at another bank I could get financed for the full amount (VA Loan). Here's the clincher- I was stationed in Florida, the way Florida community property laws were the first night she spent with me in that house she had 1/2 of it no matter if her name was on the loan or deed.
