Nancy, Because it's Craftsman, you may need to get the parts from Sears. I had a Kenmore washer that was more than 20 years old. Sears told me parts are no longer available.
Some places don't carry parts for items more than 10 years old. We live in a throw away world.
Your best bet for finding parts will be to post a pic of your drill and see if anyone has an old defective drill with a good handle, then transfer your parts over. Post on craigslist or perhaps YT.
When it comes to finding a repair shop or service center, their labor bill will be way more thatn it costs to buy a new very good drill.
Can't help you on repair shops in TX. Call sears and ask them for a local service center.
I'm sure any service center could fix it. You need to do the leg work and find parts. LOL George
