I'm sure JD managment would thank you for that. They AREN'T the same comapny the used to be. That's by design. Companies remaining "the same as they used to be" are generally way behind the times and on their way out of business if they aren't already out of business. Deere is in business to be a leader, not a has been hanging on to the past. There's a reason why Deere is still in business and every one else has gone belly up and sold out multiple times.
I own Deere, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, and New Holland. I buy parts from all 4. They are ALL high priced when you think in terms of yesterday. In general, I've had more problems with parts being NLA with New Holland than the others, and prices on parts more unreasonable with Kubota. Deere is light years ahead of the others in regards to parts being available when I need them in a hurry. Deere smokes everyone when parts are time critical. Buying "cheap" discount aftermarket parts may be alright for hobby farmers and the like, but when your income depends on equipment being on line when you need it, "cheap" is NEVER cheap.
