Seldom carry but it's nice being able to buy a handgun when I want without any hassle. My home defense is a barky dog and a gun close by even though we almost never have any home invasions here. Most of that is break ins when no one is home.
I never advertise that I have guns but living where I do most folks own em. A few years back the county hired a new dispatcher who was from the Twin Cities. She sent out a domestic disturbance call one night and told the responding officer "use caution there may be a gun present" All the cops were laughing about that......it's Clitheral MN (small town near me...less than 100 people).....there is a gun in every home!
