The wife & I have some things packed in the truck & car now , very worried about the wild fire that is about 25 miles west of us now. A wind shift prob would do us in. It started south of Luther ,Ok. spread thru that town & moved north and east. Reports said at times it burned 80 rods in 10 min. Wind up to 25 - 30 MPH. Humidity about 11% , temps this afternoon in the 113* range. 25 houses were reported burned there. Interestat 44/ Turner turnpike was shut down about supper time, as was Rt. 66, due to smoke. The fire crossed I 44. Just stepped outside , I 44 must be open , can hear trucks running on it now. Our temp at midnite is 93* now. Keeping our fingers crossed .About ready for bed , going to sleep ' litely'. clint
