Since this is my farm truck I thought I would post here.
Saturday my 1997 F-350 with a 460 gas burner started having problems cranking. It turns over just fine but take a few minutes of turning before it decides to crank, hot or cold, the colder the more of a problem this is.
No spitting or sputtering.
I does not matter which tank is on, i do hear the fuel pump running and cut off after turning the ignition on. It does have fuel pressure on the fuel rail, now much I do not know.
Once it cranks it runs fine, I pulled a load of cows down the interstate a several miles running 75 without any issues, I just knew not to cut it off until I got it back home.
When it does crank I can smell gas from the exhaust until for a few seconds.
Noting noticeably wrong with the distributor, rotor or plug wires and it is getting spark.
