I still can't get past or correlate the wheel center breaking and the wheel coming off, from the impact of a motorcycle, if it hit the tire only, you would think some of the impact would be absorbed, protecting the wheel. It would also seem impossible unless the wheel took the impact directly in the center, have no idea what the wheel center metal is, looks like it sheared off.
I've seen enough motorcycle accidents first hand, having been part of one, (I was driving a car) and being on the scene or witnessing same, the frequency of accidents is incredible. The most visible result of impact I ever saw was when a motorcyclist while in traffic in front of me, slammed into a NYC taxi cab on the FDR drive, the trunk area was pushed into the backseat, it looked like the cab was going in reverse at high speed and hit a tree or utility pole, well the latter would probably snap, was in a work van and got t-boned, left one heck of a dent, but a tractor wheel coming off, that's just hard to figure. Does not matter, somewhere there are grieving families.
