Actually Glen & I don't hate each other at least I don't hate buickanddeere. I just don't always agree with his information. I've stated in the past I strive for information to be CORRECT.
Now for my explanation:
2 cyl JD diesel ES came from factory with four 6 volt batteries with the electrical system isolated from frame EXCEPT for a wire going from battery to ground to frame to split the 24volt system in 1/2 for operation of lights and accessorizes
4/6 cylinder JD diesel is the same EXCEPT for utilizing two 12 volt batteries instead of four 6 volt batteries.
If a person decides to alter either of the tractors in question to 12 volt system it requires virtually the same procedure.
Please explain your view on the differences between the above mentioned tractors electrical systems.
