We were quite poor when growing up in the '40s. 5 kids in family. Dad had a '36 Ford till well into the '50s when we got a Fraser. Didn't get to town very often, once a week at best. I remembered asking Dad why everybody else had nice shinny new cars. Don't really recall his answer, but I can imagine something like "Don't ask such foolish questions". LOL. OH that if I had either of those cars now!!!
