Some people are that way. When I was in Tennessee The new plant manager decided to "clean up the place" and scrapped a section of 14" left handed screw conveyor, after all it's just a partial section and he was only saving full sections. About two weeks later we trashed the feed screw on #2 cooker and needed about 4' of 14" left hand screw. Wasn't any available in three states, called our fab shop, they informed us we should have about 8' in stock from the 12" they sent when the cooker was put in. It was an interesting 2 days before we got the line running well and we pretty much lost the weekend. But hey the scrapman probably gave us $2.00 or $3.00 for the screw, although he wasn't that shrewd he could of sold it back to us for $500 two weeks later.
