There were two 2000s. Pre 4/65 4 cylinder model which was a 600/601 painted Blue and 4/65 - 11/75 3 cylinder model. Yes the 3 cyl 2/3/4000s underwent many refinements between 65 and 75 but those refinements are mostly esoteric. The basic tractor is fundamentaly the same and all parts will interchange between 2000/3000 through out the model run. As for the tractor in question, I think if you need one it is a pretty good deal. From here it looks like a 4 speed but could likely have a Sherman combo which is very handy. I would ask the seller about that. I would offer a Grand and see if he takes it. Heck, it looks like those Goodyears on the back are worth half of that. If you are not concerned about the correctness police the tin from any small Ford from 53 to 65 will fit. Top dollar for a clean, good running 'Prior' is in the $3500 to $4000 range. Plenty of room there to buy some tin and maybe a radiator. It's definately worth looking at IMO.
