Just read this in a book yesterday. Seems this fella decided to end it all, so he tied several heavy metal objects, including his wife's Dutch oven, to his body and jumped into the river.
His wife was heard to say that she was mourning the loss of her Dutch oven as it was of more use to her than her husband had ever been.
