Just got back with the Oliver Super 55 that I bought for $1000. Gas,late improved Super, red wheeler,so it's 12 volt, key start. Original generator, not an alternator cobble job. Pretty straight and tight. Haven't even looked to see how many hours yet. Didn't want it sitting out in the rain, but it started raining as soon as we pulled in the driveway,so it's still on the trailer. He'd told he blew a head gasket, but when I got there, the head has all been redone, magnafluxed and all. Said he put it back together and it was still getting coolant in the oil. He gave up and bought another tractor. Said he didn't learn about wet sleeve engines til after he bought the other one, never bothered to tear it down again. Somebody has painted it Meadow Green and Clover White,so it needs to be changed back. Tires are solid, same size, but one's a 23 degree and the other's a 45. Just needs the usual things, rubber seat torsion spring, guages, center grille strip and radiator cap cover. The wife's happy as a clam with her anniversary present. She wants it in the shop and fixed NOW!
