Super Trucker said: (quoted from post at 17:46:47 08/20/12) Man I hate trying to sell stuff. I'm trying to sell my golf cart for 350$ or best. Guy's kid called asked how much,I told him 350 or best. Uhhh ok click. 2 min later old man calls "you talked to my son about your cart" I want to know if you would take $275. I said yes. He said will it run [it's 36 volt] I told him yes. I can charge it with my batt charger but the cart charger is smoked. I will be at your house at 4pm with money. GREAT!!!!
Fast forward to 3pm go thru thru hassle of charging the cart. Now it's 4pm he shows up in a new chevy ext cab 4x4. I show him it moves and backs up. Now he wants to drive it. He takes off and is hanging off it like he's looking or listening for something. Comes back 5 min later and tells me it's got a wobble in it and the wheel bearings are loose and yada yada . NOW HE HAS THE NERVE TO ASK ME "WHATS THE BEST YOU'LL TAKE". I told him YOU OFFERED 275 TO MY 350 THAT'S WHAT I AGREE TOO. He starts hemm hawwing and running off with the mouth,so I loaded it up in the utility trailer hooked to my truck. He asked what I was doing. I told him it was going to scrap and was no longer for sale TO HIM.
I proceeded to tell him the amounts it will scrap for between batts and copper and motors comes to what he was ORIGINALLY OFFERED. So anybody need a good yamaha golf cart just needs a charger? Trucker.
Lesson #1..... OBO opens you up to all idiots and wastes your time. If you think they need/deserve a discount, you can still give it to them.
#2..... Don't laugh at hairlips
#3.... Go with your gut and don't be afraid to run anyone off your place.
Cancel the ad, wait a week, and put 600 on it. Maybe you can use some of the tips to fix your charger....
