1st project of the next few weeks is the roof on the workshop attached to the house... 1x2 meter asbestos cement plates to make up 1400 sq ft... Picked up future SIL and we got to the house at 10:00.. Put up a scaffolding, he grabbed the impact driver and hit the roof while the fat guy stayed on the scaffolding.... 12:45, both sides were off and in a wagon hid in the woods and I had swepped up the mess....
Ready tohave a couple cool ones and chill til the wife called for us to pick up the new steel panels and the neighbor kid's dad came by and said I'd better go pick up my hay before it gets wet...... He had cut and baled a place that I was gonna do next week.. I was hot because I was gonna have it rolled because I have no more room for small bales, but OTH I sure appreciated him doing it.... Kid says, let's go get it..... I grabbed 2 wagons from a neighbor and drove the tractor while he loaded... Got em home and covered just in time to pick up the load of steel roof (delivered to the wife's work and reloaded on there truck for me to bring home.
Truck won't fit in driveway, so hadda park around the corner and carry 40 sheets (2 roof projects) in the driveway one at a time.....
Done in time to scarf down dinner, grab a shower, and get to work at 1900..... He wanted me to pick him up at 0730 in the morning but I talked him into noon so I can sleep a little....
I'm pretty much shot now and him and the daughter are going to the disco........
