Hastings, Donaldson, Fleetguard or Baldwin are the best. Wix has went down hill in recent years, and yes the OEMs will void the warranty on the diesel pickups if there is a FRAM oil filter on it at the time there is an oil related engine failure. The same applies to the washable air filters, like a K&N.
