: My Farmall M was hitting on two of it's four cylinders. I found that by putting the plug wire from the second plug half-way-on that I could get it to fire on the 1,2, & 4th cylinders. Now I am working on getting it to fire on the 3rd (going back from the the fan) and I wonder if there is any simple stupid mistake I am making. When I take the plugs out to clean them, the 3rd is wet with a mixture of oil and gas (the rings aren't the greatest) but the 2nd was like that too, but it fires now. Any suggestions? If you haven't replaced the plugs, do so. I have had the same problem before. With the new additives and unleaded gas, once a plug gets gas soaked, it's gone. You can pull the wire parcialy off and it will fire. Try Champion D-21.
