I have an older 6 ft. Pull type it can get into places easier then having constantly back up the 3pt. It will follow right around a tree without touching it. Mine is a heavy duty that can take down a 3 to 4in. Sapling and make tooth pics out of it. Most 3 pt. cut the grass and throw it out the back mine keeps it and works like a mulching mower so what you see is very small stuff left behind as you mow. If you are mowing an orchard or around lots of trees you never have backup with the pull type. Also it will not swing out to side when turning this can really damage a small tree. 3 pts. Are good if you are mowing a nice square flat field but the pull type will follow the rough terrain a lot better. Walt
