I dont undestand people I guess. It seems every time I place an add on this sight I get called stupid or told that I dont know what Im talking about.I dont know everything nor did I ever claim to, But having worked as a mechanic for a case IH dealership for 20 years, and running my own shop for the last five years, plus farming for myself I feel I may have learned a thing or two. I started tractor pulling twenty five years ago with oliver tractors that would be div.3 or div 4 natpa tractors. I really like olivers but I always liked Moline tractors also so recently I bought a GVI and started to build a puller. I thought it would be interesting to try a big cubic inch diesel so I thought a good place to mabie get some information was th MM form on this sight. This turned out to be a bad idea, for every question there was an insult. I didnt know how stupid I was untill I started asking questions. I go by moline 585 or mdwk40, check it out. Well, I bought a MM puller today that was built in the early 80's and had a few questions about it so I posted an ad on the MM form and low and behold a few min.later I got a call from a restricted number, I answered the phone and the guy on the outher end had some sort of a southern accent and he said Im calling about the add you have on yesterdays tractors wanting a pair of SAT tires, I said yes what do you have, He said you need to stop posting adds on yesterdays tractors, your an idot and you dont know what your talking about and hung up. My question is what kind of a coward calls restricted, insults a guy then hangs up?? I have asked questions about molines, and I have tried to help outhers with there oliver pulling questions, and will pass on anything I have learned over the years. Is anybody else having problems like this????? What a tough crowd, hope they dont burn down my house and kill my family next!!!!

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
