I was working away on my computer, and all at once it shut off, then came back on.
I then got a pinkish popup that showed 38 infected items. When you clicked "Remove", a screen came up wanting to charge $89.00 for software to remove the infected items. I declined, and the computer quit working altogether. Even non Internet links like MS Word would not come up. All the shortcut icons were there, just when you clicked on one, a message came up in the lower right that the program was blocked. Same thing on my Malware link.
My wife"s computer continued to work OK. I went down to my shop and got this computer I had down there to do work orders, etc. without being on the Internet. (I misappropriated it when the insurance company I was working for went kaput).
This is the one I"m on now. Works great, except I can"t get my Yahoo email to work. Something about security.
Has anyone else had this happen? I suppose I"ll have to take the other computer to a geek somewhere and get it straightened out.
