I won many spelling bees in school but that was 60 years ago.Never could type and when I turned 70 I began to leave out letters and add letters. Some of the words I typed are strange.I can leave out words often.Ive gotten up in the morning and cant even type at all.Just left the n out of cant.Im starting to have trouble finding words when talking with friends.I can spell carberetor 4 different ways .I come across some words Ive never spelled during my lifetime.Acetylene is one of them.Isopropyl is another. When I moved here in 1966 a new school had just been built. The old one room school is next door to me. It has out houses, no water supply, a kerosene pot burner for heat.People made do with what they could afford. The new school district is 2 million in the hole with no money to buy basic supplies. My real estate tax has increased 10x and fuel oil has gone up 20x.Higher education is ruining us.If you dont like my spelling dont read my posts.I tend to say exactly what I think.Mark Twain said Its a poor man who cant spell words several different ways.
