John B. said: (quoted from post at 11:10:27 09/04/12) I have to have two bunions removed on my right foot in a few weeks. Behind the big toe and little toe. Plus have the bones shortened behind the big toe and the toe next to my big toe. Doc says no weight on it for 4 weeks. Has any one else ever have this done? If so how was the outcome? I'm just praying to find a pair of shoes that fit me after I'm done cause now the shoes fit my width of the bunions but are two wide for the rest of my foot.
Wife is recuperating at home right now from the same thing (bunions scraped off, 2 toes broken and screws inserted). Surgery was 4 weeks ago. She's out of the boot, weaning herself off the pain meds. Can walk around pretty well but she's got to keep it elevated most of the day or it gets real sore. Will be back at work in 2 weeks. It's been driving her crazy sitting at home on the couch. Luckily, she likes to read so that helps.
Doc was going to do her other foot right after this one. She said "No way". She went out to see our horse yesterday. Told her to make sure her foot was nowhere near his. Then I went out and rode him and he stepped on my steel-toed boot while I was walking him back after hosing him down. Still felt it. Can't imagine if he stepped on hers.
Doctor told her to go out and buy some "Crocs" that she can wear till she can fit into regular shoes.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
