Maybe he decided that he would be willing to go to the trouble to ship the item. HIS choice. Just like it is the buyers choice to purchase it or not.
Just like you had a choice to buy it for $50 and go pick it up. You decided you did not want to go pick it up. SO you declined the deal. Not the seller.
