I remember doing the king pin jobs on several "50's era Ford pickups. The bushings were brass, and an old timer showed me to take a good used king pin, grind it absolutely flat on one end, then drive it thru as a reamer for the brass king pin bushings. Results in good tight bushings and a good tight front end. I still have the home-made reamer.
