Main bearings can easily be slipped in from underneath too. Unless you have run the engine out of oil or had a catastrophic failure somewhere whatever you do to it will be an improvement. Get you by till we vote this JA out of office. Before I spent the $1500 for a proper rebuild on an N I would sell it and buy a newer tractor. But $125 for rings, gaskets, rod and main bearings and a little wrenching I would do an inframe on one.
