A few years back I was brush-hogging (generic) a hay field off, Hit something that flew out with a "clunk". Stopped on second round to look-see. Turned out to be a large deer antler. Right next to it was the other one of the pair. Was a very lopsided set, - very distinctive. Had seen it on the deer previous fall, and told hunters to get him if thay saw him. Not seen during or after season. Thought he might have been taken by other hunters on neighboring places. Guess he survived to drop his antlers in our field. Not seen in following seasons either.
