Not so! They carry a 100k 5 yr warranty even with the new Cummins Diesel in front. I had half a dozen of them and never had the first tranny problem, from '84 thru '07. Actually, had less mechanical problems with them than any truck I ever had. I bought Chevy this time just because they are the closest dealer and after the feds worked GM over, they are putting out a real nice and reliable truck. Had mine a year and a half now and never been back to the dealer......other than to stop by one day when I was in town to tell him how much I liked it.
