Well the other posters have covered the problems with the JD 1010/2010 in a general way. Here are the big problems with the exact tractor you are looking at.
1) It must have been an industrial as it does not have any PTO. They are not rare either so don't get your hopes up about it being a high priced collector tractor.
2) To install a PTO on one without a PTO is a major under taking for several reasons. A) They offered several different PTO configurations on the JD 1010. Often in the same model year. I swear they used every left over part they had from the last twenty years on these things. So even having a complete parts tractor may not be all you would need as the models changed over the years. I had a JD 1010 for a while. It had the dual speed PTO but the control lever was out by the fender. I have never seen another one like it. Most of them have the control lever right next to the clutch pedal against the transmission case. B) This tractor would not have the clutch or pressure plate needed to drive the PTO gears. C) You would need all of the internal shafts and gears to drive the PTO. They where not just a simple long shaft like a Ford or Ferguson tractor. The PTO shaft could be in as many as three pieces depending on your transmission.
I would not buy it and plan on installing a complete PTO even with having worked on JD tractor for over forty years.
