Us folks raised with electronic ignition have a hard time dealing with or even thinking about points, we need to get over that. High reving is probably a governor or fuel issue, the fact it won't start or even hit know is probably ignition you have two choice trouble shoot and check or throw parts at it. Radiator fluid and new oil won't have anything to do with it starting so you've wasted some effort there. I'd pull all the plugs, open the gap up on one plug and vice grip or clamp it on a lifting lug or other point with a good clean ground and work the ignition until you can crank over the engine and get good consistent BLUE spark in you plug with a fat gap. then put them back in and work from their.
